The DMF is known for BBQ. Using the church’s massive smoker, the men prepare pulled pork, beef, chickens, turkeys, salmon, and more. Much of it is given away to Disciples Conference Center near Gonzales, TX (our church camping facility). The DMF provides a monthly dinner to the guests of the Montgomery County Women’s Shelter.
The DWF is created to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ. It is also a channel for women from congregations in both the United States and Canada to find means for effective participation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
