Outreach Ministries

The Outreach Department keeps before the congregation the importance of mission.  The funds we use are a percentage of the general giving to the church.  These funds are distributed to 10 core groups that the church supports consisting of our denominational partners and 4 local organizations.  We have a monthly collection of goods that are given to the food bank, pregnancy center, women’s center and homeless center.  At Christmas we participate in Adopt-a-Family and gifts for seniors.  We participate in Church World Service events that are outreach driven.  We are striving to be an “externally focused church” by reaching out to our community and responding to their needs.​

Outreach Opportunities 

Your TWCC Outreach Team is busy looking at all the ministries our Outreach Partners have to offer to see where we can make a difference! If you are looking for an opportunity to reach out into the community, please let us know so we can help direct you to projects that are going on in our community. If you see a place we can help or make a difference, please let us know about it. This year we will be evaluating our programs and resources and looking into possible new outreach areas as the church goes through our New Beginnings Process. Interfaith of The Woodlands:

We collect non perishable food items, diapers, cleaning supplies and paper goods for the first 2 Sundays of each month. An updated list of items can be found in the Narthex by the collection box.

Women's Shelter Meal-
4th Saturday of the month
Montgomery County Women's Center/Salvation Army - Each month our Piecemaker's group makes fabric drawstring bags that are filled with toiletry items. These are handed out by the Women's Center and Salvation Army as clients check into the shelters. These items include travel size deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash, bar of soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb or brush, razor and shaving cream. We also include a goodie item: these can include makeup, nail polish, hand sanitizer, headbands, etc. We welcome any donations of NEW, UNUSED items. Hotel toiletry items are always a great addition to this ongoing project as well as new wash clothes and towels. These kits are delivered along with the monthly meal that is prepared by our different church groups.
