DMF (Disciples Men's Fellowship)

The DMF is known for BBQ.  Using the church’s massive smoker, the men prepare pulled pork, “pig candy”, beef, chickens, turkeys, salmon and more for ministry.  Much of it is given away to Disciples Conference Center near Gonzales, TX (our church camping facility).  In April 2013, pulled pork sandwiches were given away in the parking lot of Hodge’s Food Basket.  As the sandwich give-away took place, opportunities to support the DMF ministries were offered.  The DMF provides a monthly dinner to the guests of the Montgomery County Women’s Shelter and the Salvation Army Shelter of Conroe.

Over the years, this DMF has built dormitories for an orphanage in Mexico, a private home for a resident family of Matamoros, Mexico, finished house construction for families who suffered tragic illnesses and accidents while building their own homes, and have provided support and encouragement for many on the edges of life.
