Dr. Mikhail Smigelski

Hailed as “phenomenal,” “impressively epic” and for his “wine-dark bass,” Mikhail Smigelski leads a career of vast and various genres, including opera, oratorio, early music, musical theatre, and contemporary music. Winner of international competitions, Mr. Smigelski has performed as a soloist on the world most prestigious stages including Carnegie Hall, Saint Petersburg’s and Moscow’s Philharmonias, Berliner Philharmonie, Kölner Philharmonie, and has collaborated with numerous European and American opera, music theater and concert companies such as Saint Petersburg Chamber Opera, Theater Aachen, Theater Solingen, Theater Leverkusen, New York Ferus Festival,East Coast Contemporary Ensemble, Miami Lyric Opera, and The Cleveland Opera.
Dr. Mikhail Smigelski holds multiple degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from such renowned institutions as Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, Sam Houston State University, and The University of Texas at Austin.
Mrs. Beth Ringwald
(minimum age: 5 y.o.)
Beth Ringwald is a life-long resident of Montgomery County who earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Sam Houston State University. She taught general music class and choir at the intermediate school level for 22 years, as well as teaching several private piano students. Beth has served as choir director and organist for several churches in The Woodlands and Conroe. Currently she is the Organist and Director of the Handbell Choir at The Woodlands Christian Church and sings in the Chancel Choir. Beth also sings in the Woodlands Chorale community chorus. Having recently discovered the Piano Safari piano method books, Beth is excited to introduce students to learning to play the piano through this innovative and creative process.
