Young
of Hearts
Life gets better at 50! Young of Hearts meets in the
Youth Room on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 for
lunch, fellowship and a short program. The Out to Lunch
Bunch meets periodically for lunch at a local restaurant.
Birthday Parties. Each January, Young of Hearts
sponsors the birthday party for residents at Copperwood
Apartments. It is held on the third Thursday in January from
1:30 to 3:00 pm. Anyone from Copperwood may attend the party
(attendance is usually 40-55). The party is complete with
refreshments, musical entertainment, and/or Bingo with
prizes. Each April, Young of Hearts sponsors the monthly
birthday party at Tamarac Pines. It is held the third Monday
in April from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Attendance is 40-55. The July
birthday party at Tamarac Pines is sponsored by the Youth
groups on the third Monday in July from 1:30 to 3:00.
Senior Day trips for seniors have become a
favorite activity. Groups travel on chartered buses at a
reduced rate for a day of sight-seeing and fun. Kathryn
Stokes and Villa Jean Tiller started this wonderful program.
Interfaith Senior Services Department provides
transportation to seniors for doctor's appointments, grocery
and pharmacy trips. Contact Martha Martin at Interfaith to
set up transportation needs.
Worship at Edenbrook: Presently we lead worship on
the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 am. Worship consists
of 5-6 hymns, scripture, a devotional and communion.
