The quilters who gather every Tuesday in the ministry center have every skill level, from beginner to what the books call “"confident intermediate"â€. The Piecemakers started with the desire to learn how to make quilts, and quickly became a true ministry, with membership in the International Prayer Quilt Guild. This group is a part of the Disciple’s Women’s Fellowship, supporting the ministry of that group with many items they make for the annual Fall Festival. One of the intriguing things about quiltmaking is that there is always something new to learn. And when projects are finished, field trips are the reward!
Peggy Britain is in charge of projects this year; Shirley Park is President and prayer leader, and Susan Mayhall is prayer quilt chairman. The group meets every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until about 1:00 p.m. Anyone is welcome; membership is always open!
