Disciples men meet 7:30 a.m. every Saturday for Bible Study, one Saturday a month for breakfast and various times throughout the year to smoke meats, serve dinners, and raise outreach funds.
One of the greatest things the Disciples Men do in our ministry in the Texas/New Mexico Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is in our mission projects. Over the past 14 years, among our building projects have been: a home for battered women and children, four separate buildings, including a Chapel for the Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries in the Rio Grande Valley, Hogans and a church for Navajo Indians in Northern New Mexico and two churches for small Hispanic congregations in East Texas. Here we have shown love to “the poorest of the poor” with our expertise and funds.
