Making Disciples

is Jesus' commandment to go to every nation and teach people about the love of God in Jesus Christ. Discipleship is regular and continuous growth into spiritual maturity, "learning from Christ how to lead our lives as he would lead it if he were us" (from Renovare).

Disciples are known by the "fruit" they bear, a transformed life dedicated to becoming like Christ in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5.22). Those who show the fruit of the Spirit then spread the good news of Jesus Christ, encourage others in their growing faith as they become Christ's disciples as well.

We make disciples through infant, children's, youth, and adult classes at 10:00 on Sunday morning, the God's Kids weekday Preschool, Vacation Bible School, weekly Bible studies, membership classes, and fellowship groups for all ages.

We also make disciples through encouraging and supporting a new Disciples of Christ congregation starting up in the Magnolia-Tomball area.
