Jesus welcomed children. We do, too.
From our Prayer Pal Ministry, where each child is partnered with an adult in the congregation, to our Children's Church worship time led by volunteers with a caring heart, from a caring nursery staff to Sunday school teachers with a passion for teaching little ones about Jesus, children know they are loved at The Woodlands Christian Church. Their parents can tell, too. We're all children of God, daughters and sons adopted into the promise made known in Jesus Christ.
Children's Church - Children ages 4 to 2nd grade are welcome to participate in a worship experience especially suited to them following the Children's Sermon in each Sunday morning's worship service. Children worship God through music, stories from scripture, fun activities and prayer. Children are always welcome to remain in worship with family.
Children's Hand Bells practices from 5:00-6:00 pm on Sunday evening under direction of Beth Ringwald. They provide a fun opportunity for children to learn about music and play in worship.
Children's Choir practices from 5:00-6:00 pm on Sunday evening under direction of our music director, Dr. Rob Hunt. They sing regularly in worship and prepare seasonal musicals.
Vacation Bible School is a week-long summer event for children in the Woodlands community and beyond. Several dedicated church volunteers make this a special experience for kids each year. From music to crafts, children will learn about the love of God in fun, new ways.
Sunday School - We offer three different children's Sunday School classes (pre-K to 1st grade, 2nd & 3rd grade, 4th & 5th grade) for students in primary school. The classes are taught by well-trained, fun, and energetic teachers.
