Children's
Ministry
Jesus welcomed children. We do, too. From special
play-centered worship at Children's Church to community
service projects for children at the Humane Society,
children know from the moment they walk in for the first
time that they are loved. Their parents can tell, too. We're
all children of God, daughters and sons adopted into the
promise made known in Jesus Christ.

Godly
Play “From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise” (Psalm 8:2a). Children worship
God in many ways, using their growing minds and bodies. Ages
2-8 are welcome to participate in a worship experience
especially suited to them following the Children's Sermon in
each Sunday morning worship service. Children worship God
through praise, music, scripture stories, activities and
prayer.
Sunday
School Graded classes follow the Bible Quest
curriculum, taught by well-trained, fun and energetic
teachers, many of whom are also parents.
Children's Fellowship is a celebration on the
second and fourth Sunday afternoon of each month, built
around a theme that builds discipleship and helps the
children get to know Jesus.
Children's Choir (K-4th grade) practices from
5:30-6:00 on Sunday evening under direction of Beth
Ringwald.
Kids Who Care service projects offer children ways
to make a difference in the community. They can be stocking
shelves or bagging food at the Interfaith Food Pantry one
month and making toys for cats and dogs at the Montgomery
County Animal Shelter the next. It's always hands-on and
lots of fun.
Welcome to Worship is a special class for third
graders who are graduating from Children's Church. The class
prepares them to understand and follow what is happening in
the larger worship service.
Story Time takes place on Monday mornings during
the school year. Parents are encouraged to attend along with
their toddlers and preschoolers, for singing, story telling,
coloring/craft, and a snack.
Children's leaders meet monthly for planning, prayer,
fellowship, support, and fun.
